Jerome Grand Hotel

This former hospital hosts ghosts. Lots of ghosts. The maintenance man who was crushed by the elevator, two others who committed suicide by hanging, and a plethora of other macabre events lead to a most haunting hotel indeed.

    1. I had a very personal, very real experience here in 1985, long before it was a hotel. It’s been almost a relief to see others have had similar encounters at this place. Helps me realize that I don’t have to be so terrified of the memory. I never saw anything or anyone. I FELT their (her?) energy as close to me as if there was a physical body invading my personal space. The more I process what happened, the more I learn about how thin the veil is between us and “them”.

    2. This is the most haunted place I’ve ever stayed. Stayed here in late December of 2009. During the day on the fourth floor heard a gust of wind followed by the words “Who’s There”.

At night sleeping in a room on the second floor I was awaken twice…once by a loud bang of what I descirbe as a boot stamping on the floor next to the bed and the second time the sheets were literally pulled off me and thrown across the room. Stayed up all night trying to take pictures in the hallways but didn’t catch anything but the elevator kept moving on its own and doesn’t work without a key.

When leaving the next day when I opened the door to the hallway of the second floor to do a last minute check for any luggage I left a cold chilling breath blew in my right ear and scared the crap out of me.

They have a book downstairs that guests have recorded numerous other hauntings.

    3. I was in Jerome Oct 30,2010. I went up to celebrate Halloween. I stayed at the Jerome Grand Hotel. I wanted to take the haunted tour that was offered by the hotel but they were not doing tours seeing as through the hotel was at full capacity for Halloween. I opted for the haunted town tour. I took many pictures !!!! as the evening winded down while walking to the hotel I proceeded to take the last of my pics. The LAST PICTURE that was taken in front of the hotel was THE PIC !!!!I had no clue till after dinner & in the room as I was getting ready for bed. I started to shake Clearly something was behind me ? till this day I still get the chills !!!! https://scontent-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/67399_1218845929485_952854_n.jpg?oh=a4e8c77e8eb7134d3939d334d1854001&oe=55AF30D3

    4. My fiancé and I stayed at the Grand Hotel in Jerome twice last year. Our first trip was in May of 2014. We did the usual ghost tour through the hotel and learned a little of it’s history. After the tour was over the guide was kind enough to let us borrow some of the ghost hunting equipment used on the tour (camera, digital thermometer, recording device.) So we heade back to our room to start “investigating”. Me before I tell you any more about my experience I should mention that we were staying on the second floor in room 205. The room was connected by a closet and shared bathroom to room 206. Anyway since there was no one in room 206 we decided that we would start an EVP session in the empty room. After about 20 minutes of asking questions we decided to play back the recorder and see if we could hear anything unusual. At about 14 minutes in on the recorder I asked the question ” how did you die?” After about 30 seconds of silence you can hear a raspy voice saying “make them stop”. We them decided to stop recording and go to bed. Throughout the night we heard voices in the hall, knocking on the floor above us, and at one point I felt a hand run across my face.

I have always been on the fence when it comes to my belief in ghosts and the afterlife. But after my experience in jerome I am now a full believer.

    5. Several years ago, we took the elevator in the Jerome Grand Hotel up to the third floor. Upon leaving the elevator, we turned right to head down the hall to our room. At the moment I turned, I very clearly saw the head and shoulder of a man through the window in the front corner of the elevator where an elevator operator would have been. His head was turned away but I saw the back of his head and his arm to the end of a short-sleeved shirt. “look!’ I said to my companion who was gathering the luggage. In that instant, the apparition was gone. I recorded this in the hotel book at reception in the hotel. At the time I saw this figure, I didn’t know that the maintenance man was found dead under the elevator. Also, I have not been able to find anyone else who has seen this apparition in the elevator. Would love to know if anyone else has seen this?

    6. Make sure you check out the photo album of all the ghost pictures at the front desk. Thats a must see. I stayed here, with my kid, and had no experiences. Dang! 😛

      • I just left this hotel today. There is a very disturbing energy there. Our blinds would raise on their own and our doors often would lock themselves and we could not get in our room. We saw shadows. We heard very unusual noises at night and banging. I would never ever stay there again. It was unnerving.

My father mined copper for the army in Jerome in the early 1940s and my older brother was born in the hotel, which had been a hospital at the time. My husband and I visited it in November, 2004, and I spent some time sitting up on the 3rd and 4th floors. I was recording to see if I could pick up something. When I listened to the recording later, there was a loud crash on the tape that I didn’t hear as I was sitting there. I also remember hearing some odd music. It certainly has an atmosphere.

Stayed the night on the second floor, got a cat on audio recording in our room, there was not cats in the hotel, and a Gurney Rolling down the hall.

      • Hey I got cat audio too! It can be heard clearly here.
Give it a listen with this link: https://youtu.be/JSOjSuE_xGI?t=2348

Also check out this image that was captured which appears to be three entities with humanoid, yet cryptid-like faces. Doglike on the left, Goatmanlike on the far right, and a hooded Ringwraith looking being in the close front and center with its hands over my friend laying down. Image captured last October after video cut out and somehow snapped this.
        Plz thumbs up and sub

    10. About 3 years ago stayed in the hotel in the middle of the night I head what I thought was a mop bucket being rolled down hall the next day asked at the desk if there had been any late night clean ups, the said no but people have often heard a hospital gurney being rolled down hall all I know is that I heard something out of place for that time of night.
