I worked at Hunter Arms in the late 90’s. When I started there they only had 12 or 13 rooms open on one side of the Hotel. I was hired as a Housekeeper/Decorator per say.As the construction Guys finished the rooms I was to decide the room Themes. The 1st room that I did was a 1920’s theme. I had always felt as if someone was following me, Well I was finishing up the room I went over to clean the mirror on the dresser and as doing so a Beautiful Tawny haired young woman appeared in the mirror as if she were standing behind me.. She looked so sad. I was in no way scared of her, I smiled so she smiled back. . It was awesome so I went downstairs and told Ms. Catherine ( She was the Manager ) She had heard that years ago a woman and her younger Sister lived and worked there. The older Sister used to make the younger scrub the floors and clean everthing everywhere. I do not know why but, I gave her the name Vivian. She was funny as she would take the guys tools and just really mess with them. She would appear to me alot and when I left to go home I would look up in the hotel window She was there.

  2. Upon entering hinter arms to visit a friend there is a door to the basement. I felt very strange as if the feeling of sadness and despair came over me.I really did not like the feeling at all. As my time spent there was about three hours that day,I was using the bathroom and had a conversation with a lady of which I cannot remember her name now.but she was very nice to me. Somehow we ended up talking about that door I had past comming through the front that leads to the basement. She said that she’s had some type of visisions of slaves that were held down there in captivity. This really freaked me out, but I wanna see it and definitely not alone lol. Yes I know it is haunted for shure.also I’d like to say the house at 706 new York ave was haunted to. I was tormented by that ghost.

    • The Hunter Arms Hotel was built around 1926. Why would there be slaves kept in a building more than 60 years after the civil war? And I highly doubt there is a basement because of the high water table here in St Could, FL. Get your facts straight before you make up a story.

  3. I was visiting the hotel with my husband after my grandfather had passed away and as I was laying down to go to sleep an older couple walked through the closed door holding hands and stayed a few moments by the door turned around and left as though they were making rounds checking in on their guests.

  4. Yesterday, visited the hotel with friends and immediately we all shared the same yuppy feeling. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
