Hardee Correctional Institution
Bowling Green, FL · Historical Buildings
There are vague reports of "voices" and a feeling like someone's walking just behind you at this correctional institution... though I'd venture to say its not uncommon to experience either in a high security prison! Share this Haunted Place

The land the prison is built on is renowned for being an ancient and historical native American encampment and thriving village. Undoubtedly a paranormal hot spot.

I was a guard here from 08-09. I would often do perimeter control well off into the evening as i was on 4pm-12am shift. There is a huge water tower out back. Often you could see what appeared to be a black figure at the top. Another officer tried to climb the tall tower while i kept him lit with a flashlight. He got right by the top and he said he wanted to come down cause he felt and enormous amount of pressure pushing straight down on him not wanting him to crest the walk way.
