Greencastle Cemetery

You are here Home  > Cemeteries >  Greencastle Cemetery

Something eerie may be going on in this old cemetery. Even though no one has been buried here for a long time, reports say the earth looks freshly dug up. Tombstones are said to move about, and some have seen a teenage witch dressed in black with long, dark hair. The witch is said to try to engage young children in conversation.

  1. There are a large number of recent burials in this cemetery. Also, there is a large amount of mole activity which may account for the ground. I was just there yesterday, with my 11 year old, and no one approached her. 🙂

  2. Three time me and a couple other people have been to this cemetery and have experienced a very eerie feeling around the location as well as a strange glow coming from on top of the hill of the cemetery. Also each time we’ve been there hand prints have shown up all over our car even after we had just washed it to try and debunk it. Hand print were verious sizes each time and didnt math up to our hand prints

  3. Been there once and saw the fresh dirt around a grave that was very old. Didn’t see any ghosts but it was very misty and foggy in that location only. Took pictures that came back a little off.

  4. Lived a few miles from there every time I went there it always felt like I was being watched And had a sense of not being alone when I approached the back tree line but I tested a theory and if you stay longer then 10 to 15 min the feelings disappear I have done this multiple times but every time I have left I had the sense of being followed

  5. Some friends and i went to this cemetery last night. I didn’t see or hear anything. Although the other three people I went with all said that they heard footsteps as if someone was following us…

  6. I was at this cemetery last week. New burial within a couple days. Nice little cemetery. The cemetery itself seemed warmer than it was at the road. Something special there, but nothing I could specifically document, just had a really nice feeling there. At least 2 civil war veterans there. Oldiest tombstone I found was from 1840.
