Glastenbury Mountain

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Glastenbury Mountain

Legends say that the Native Americans believed this place to be cursed and used it as a burial ground. There have been several unsolved disappearances on the mountain, and all the trails stop partway up the mountain as if forbidding hikers to go any further. The mountain is said to be eerily silent, as if birds and animals don’t even venture there.

  1. Staying at Goddard Shelter last week, during a crazy windy thunderstorm, I had some weird weird and vivid dreams about people coming into the shelter dressed in period costume and sleeping next to me. Prior to this night I had no idea about the “Haunted mountain” stories!
