Fort Peck Hotel

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  Fort Peck Hotel

The historic hotel was used as living quarters for those constructing a nearby dam, and many of the spirits who perished during the construction of it are believed to haunt the hotel. Two spirits are known to haunt the upper floor of the building, including an apparition that paces an upstairs corridor and a apparition who likes to sit in a red armchair in one of the guest rooms. Various other people have reported hearing the voices of a man and a woman.

  1. while staying here with friends that knew nothing about the hotel.
we had rooms on the top floor that had an adjoining door. On the morning when we checked out
both my wife and I had left the room and had gone out to the car and were waiting for our friends to check out and join us, when they came out they asked us if everything was OK. neither my wife or I new what they were referring to and asked them why they thought something was wrong.
they then told us that the adjoining door between the rooms shook as if someone was try to get it to open but couldn’t. then they heard a door slam in our room. All this happened while we were already down in the car.
we had not known anything about hauntings and neither had the other couple

  2. Last night, a member of the party insulted Custer. The ceiling fan and light died. After an apology, it restarted and never stopped again.
