    1. One one visit with my brother, I snapped a photo of him I’m
pretty sure where the barracks were in the parade ground area
of the Fort and there happened to be a huge White orb next to him.
Another time I had a friend go with me out there and we were across
from the Fort entrance in the area that was more or less painted black
and walked up the stairs into some of the rooms between two of the batteries.
Needless to say, he walked off to the right inside and I wandered to the left heading
toward one of the batteries and out of nowhere it was as if a huge vacuum system was
sucking all of the oxygen from the room and I left as quickly as I could to the open air area
of the battery before calling to my friend.
It isn’t the first time anything like this has happened when he is around, he tends to be a magnet
for a lot of activity in places like this and I attribute it to his Native American ancestry.
I myself am a hypersensitive but the last experience was odd.

    2. Some how I got lucky enough to stay there for two nights in a row. A lot of strange things happened like glowing orbs in the barracks and disembodied male voices. There was no electricity at night and a lot of people, so it could’ve been just a mental thing but I know I would go back if I could! This time with a recorder and voice box!

    3. I had a experience here about 9 years ago. One summer morning i caught the first ferry over from Dauphin Island. I walked on the ferry so i had a pretty good hike to the fort fo an old guy. I went to the office and nobody was there the gate to the fort was open so i went on in. I was the only person in the fort it was pretty cool. I was taking pictures on the east side. All the passage ways and arches were nice picture opportunities. I was walking along some workshops when i heard what sounded like someone hammering on metal. I tried to peek in between the closed wooden doors but couldn’t really see. This went on for a couple of minutes i listened to see if it might be the wind but if you know the gulf coast it’s pretty still on hot summer mornings.I shouted and ask if anyone was there and it stopped. I got a little uneasy and went back out to the main area in the middle of the fort. I saw a man and woman entering through the gate it was nice to see some living people lol. I have no idea what it was but it sure sounded like a blacksmith shop. I swear i am telling the truth.

    4. My husband, dog, and I were exploring the fort and the beach one Saturday and return on Sunday to visit the beach. We randomly were drawn to the Battery Dearborn and when entering the building that had the name on it, if you go in the middle section, the first door way to the left is a very long hall/room. We entered there first and went all the way to the back. The acoustics were so cool that my husband was humming a little bit. We were enjoying just the sound of it and then we ended up hearing a high-pitched humming back that was neither one of us. (He thought it was me!) When I confirmed it wasn’t we both knew what just happened. Goosebumps over our whole bodies. We quickly exited to get our bearings but then went back to the doorway and my husband asked “what’s your name?” a few times but we heard nothing else. We kept exploring but neither of us went back in that room. The dog also didn’t want to go and do a few places. It leaves you with that feeling like you are torn between wanting more to make sense of what just happened and being thankful nothing else happened. We were NOT expecting that! We got a few creepy feelings when we visited on Saturday and did some research to then learn of it’s haunted history. Even understanding that, neither one of us were prepared to have quite that experience.

    5. Me and my friend were taking pictures at Fort Morgan and we went to the Batterty Dearborn. It’s was only us two and we went back to the house and found a picture with 3 shadows and we know we were the only two in that room.

      • Hi Carlee! I am doing some research into these hauntings for a possible episode of a tv show. Any chance we can chat more about what you experienced?

    6. A friend and I where walking along the beach at night and stumbled across this place. We didn’t know what it was but decided to explore it, not knowing if we where allowed to. While walking around we both thought we heard a man crying and assumed someone was there but there wasn’t. Once we got home we looked up the building on the internet to find out it is supposedly haunted and other people heard the cry in the exact same spot.
