Fishtown of Usan

I went to the ruins of Fishtown of Usan to get some photos of the buildings which are now mostly fallen. The buildings are extremely old, but the location itself is much, much older and dates back to ancient times.

It was late evening and just beginning to turn dark when I began taking photos, which was my entire purpose for being in the area. Although there are people living near by the site, there was no one out and about on this night. However, as I walked along the length of the buildings and underneath the old tower, I kept hearing a knock, knock, knocking — the sound of hammers or some sort of tools. But there was no one around to make this noise, as I kept checking and asking who was there. Of course, no one could actually be inside any of these building working — they no longer have roofs or any protection from the elements. Still, the sounds continued as I hurried to complete the photos. The only problem was that my camera battery died after just a few shots. I always carry two replacements, so I inserted a fresh battery. After another 5 or 6 photos, that battery died, too. So I quickly inserted my third battery. When I looked up, ravens were landing on all of the buildings, quiet as could be, but watching. I rushed to get 2 or 3 shots and when my third battery also died, I thought perhaps it was a good time to leave. I ran, actually, although there was no obvious danger. It was just a creepy feeling.
