The White Lady, a phantom seen here, is reported to be the ghost of a mother whose daughter was murdered by her boyfriend. She is said to protect women here, only harassing men, especially those who may be mistreating women. She wears all white, and some reports say she shows up accompanied by 2 German shepherds. She has been seen in many different parts of the park.

    1. Remove your video of “The White Lady’s Wall”. The wall is what’s left of the burned out social spot when the park was built. It’s photo, with it’s proper name is displayed on the park’s website. I think the so-called White Lady of Durand Eastman Park predates the park. It was told she came from the Huntington Hills area just outside of the park, and she would search the parks ponds for her daughter. She would go after the “submarine racing watchers”, but this was before the redesign of the lake front parking and increased police presence. Thus, it was not her wall. This was a story that used to be told in Charlotte, Greece and Irondequoit school students, and in a couple of books. The story was also in the newspaper decades ago. I don’t know why your site is showing Zoo Road on the map. It has nothing to do with this wall, which is on the other side of the pond. The wall is next to Log Cabin Road and over looks the lake.
