Celery Avenue - Ghost Horse

Celery Avenue was so named because it was lined with celery fields, back when Sanford was called the Celery Capital of the U.S. Here, witnesses say a translucent phantom horse can be seen galloping up and down the street. It has been seen galloping alongside traveling cars, and then simply vanishes. It is sometimes ridden by a Native American warrior. So the story goes, long ago blacksmith Sligh Earnest was the owner of this very big, 22-hand horse. When the horse died, the only way to haul the body to its burial pit, located beside Celery Avenue, was by dragging it with a tractor. And since Celery Avenue has been since widened, the grave was paved over. Folks say this is what made the horse's spirit restless. And of course, there's also the matter of Celery Avenue running through ancient Native American burial grounds, which may be why the ghost sometimes teams up with a fellow spirit rider.

    The people who have never seen anything obviously haven’t taped into their gift/gifts. I live in what used to be Henry Stanford’s house and holy paranormal activity. I keep hearing a mobile, a baby, a little girl and a man who clearly states his name was Duece
