Carleton House - Fort Huachuca

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Carleton House - Fort Huachuca

This home, located on an army base, once served as a hospital for wounded soldiers; complete with the morgue such an establishment would require. It seems some who came to Carleton House to recover have never left. There are several ghostly happenings that have been reported here. Items have been found strewn about rooms, paintings have fallen off walls en masse, and people claim to see full-bodied apparitions as well as mists and shadows.

    • Call the Vistors Control Center on Ft. Huachuca, AZ. The fort is an active duty Army base but you can get on with a Base Access Badge. Call (520) 533-3269 for further.

  1. I lived here in 1985 and yes it is definitely haunted! My bedroom was the morgue. Have a lot of stories and not enough time today!
