Capital Twin Cinema, aka Capital Theatre, has a ghost named Jessie Keith, a teenage girl who was attacked and murdered by a homeless man as she walked along the railroad tracks. Jessie Keith is also said to haunt her grave in the town cemetery.

  1. This is a regular theater that is SO not haunted. I’ve been there too many times. And Jesse Keith was killed no where near the theater. Jesse Keith was killed along the river bank and her grave is in the Listowel Cemetery. Her gravestone and the Stratford Jail (where her killer, Amédée Chatelle, was hung) are the only places reportedly haunted by her and Amédée Chatelle.

    • Having spent a short period of time inside the old Stratford Jail, I can tell you without doubt that the jail is very much haunted. Only recently have I learned of the Jessie Keith story and the recent unearthing (2011) of Almede Chatelle’s remains there during foundation repairs. Almede , it seems, was hung there.
