Bridge Creek Flora Inn

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Bridge Creek Flora Inn

This historic homestead was built in 1905, and once served as an atmospheric bed and breakfast inn. The building has played host to the saddening tale of a farmer and his rich lover, who were bound together in life and death. After being told she was not allowed to marry the farmer, she fell to her death from the third floor, where many claim to have seen her staring down into the street. The farmer took the blame for her death, and was hanged on the tree in front of the building. Locals claim to have seen someone hanging from the tree late at night, but upon investigation find nothing. Others claim to have heard the hoof beats of his abandoned horse resounding along the main street of the town.
