  1. I grew up in Beaver Dam, and participated in several shows at BDACT. The loft where Lacy committed suicide is extremely cold and eerie. You can hear running footsteps up the stairs to where she did it, and the door to the loft randomly slams on its own. Having spent several late nights there when I produced several shows, we had weird electrical things happen, saw weird shadowy movements backstage and heard both laughter and crying of a child. Nothing violent ever happen, but holy cow was it scary!!

  2. This is not true at all! No one ever hung themselves in this theatre! I have worked in the office here, for four years, alone late at night..I never saw anything! I was more afraid of the bats. I will admit I didn’t like being in the theatre alone. No special reason. Ok, it was a little creepy. There are lots of hiding places, & creepy rooms. Yet it is not haunted….

    • I’ve been an employee since June and I can absolutely promise you, this is VERY real. I close the theater 4-5 nights a week and I physically have seen things and heard things that I can not explain. So have all of my employees. We respect the spirits and move along but some nights, you can feel that you’re not welcome.

We jokingly call your ghost Lucy. But she’s not real….

  4. I have also been in multiple shows at the BDACT stage and have also seen similar behavior. These days all of the kids call her “Lucy” not lacy. One time in particular a couple of girls went into the cast bathroom (which is on the stairway going to the loft) and the door Suddenly shut and locked. Then the lights went off. The girls screamed in panic and finally the door unlocked and the lights came back on. Another story that I have is that one girl went to use the cast bathroom. She didn’t want to go alone because she was afraid of Lucy. So me and a couple other girls went with her and stood outside the door. We were trying to mess with her by scratching on the door. We finally have up and just stood there waiting for her to come out. Instead the door next to us (which is a costume room) creaked open and we heard scratching noises on the door that our friend was in.
