Audubon House

The apparition of a tall man dressed in old-fashioned clothing is said to reside at the Audubon House. He wears a ruffled shirt and long jacket, and has been seen both in the entry porch and the gift shop gallery. Rumor has it that the ghost is none other than John James Audubon himself. Some bird enthusiasts suppose that Audubon may have come back to catch another glimpse of Key West’s beautiful birds.

    1. We were at the house in the summer of 2015, my wife and I were talking with the lady down stairs when we heard stomping or someone walking around upstairs. The lady kind of laughed and said that the spirits were restless today. When we got to the second floor, my wife was admiring the little girls dress, she spoke about the design of it to me, when she felt something stroke her arm. No one else was in the house at the time or any air moving around. It raised suspicion about the restless spirits the lady talked about.
