Albany Rural Cemetery

At Albany Rural Cemetery, locals say many ghosts walk. Some include a hitchhiker ghost in a prom gown, a phantom mad horse who died when from hitting its head on a monument while running away, and a sad apparition of a gray-haired woman whose body was found after dragging the lake. There is also Mrs. Mary Douglas Scott, who killed herself by drinking arsenic at the cemetery, and Mrs. Anna T. Osterhoudt, who shot herself to death at her husband’s grave. But folks say many more colorful characters have met their ends here, and there’s no telling whom or what visitors may meet up with.

    2. I was up on the hill in the back visiting my grandmothers grave but couldn’t find the exact spot. This was no where near the gates where a funeral was occurring. While there I heard a woman yelling but the words were indistinguishable. This was around 3pm on Friday at it’s January. I spun around and listened and looked but there was no one there. The yelling continued for half a minute and seemed to come from a tomb. This isn’t my 1st paranormal experience in life at all so I thought nothing of it at the time. Now it’s kind of freaky and I’m wondering who that could have been.
