Afton House Inn

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  Afton House Inn

The 1867 historic inn is rumoured to be haunted by a ghost or two. The spirit set here include a woman known as ‘Margaret’, a young boy in old-fashioned breeches and the apparition of a farmer. Other encounters indicate that disembodied footsteps, cold spots and the smell of tobacco have also been reported in the old building.

  1. A couple of interesting things have happened to me at the afton house inn. On the main floor, there is a room with a Jacuzzi in it, I woke up a number of times through out the night feeling as if someone was standing over me. Cold spots around you as you sleep. Creepy.
