The most active room is the Blue Room; inside, five maids were asphyxiated by a stove that was left on to assist with the drying of plaster. Visitors have been touched by invisible hands and sometimes see the faces of the women thought to have died in here. A fugitive who was murdered on these grounds is also said to still be here.
