40 Club Restaurant and Bar

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  40 Club Restaurant and Bar

An upstairs apartment was the unfortunate setting for a 40 Club employee’s suicide in 1999, and since then, folks say, strange things have happened at the restaurant. Tom’s body was found after he failed to show up for work one day. Now, the jukebox plays songs buy itself(including one that wasn’t stocked in the jukebox but was played at Tom’s funeral), cold spots and flickering lights are known to happen, and TVs and radios act strangely as well.

  1. Stayed here a couple of years ago while hunting. Friends room had a television that turned on by itself and would lose signal. Lights also turned on and off. Didn’t know this place was supposedly haunted and his room was on the upper level where someone had died.

  2. Checked in here in September of 2002. Had a room downstairs close to the lobby. I got sick for no reason within an hour of arriving. Started running a fever. Laid down in bed. Television turned itself on. Lights turned off and this dark smoke in the shape of a person rose up by the side of my bed. This voice spoke to me in these low unnatural sounds. Eventually it went away and suddenly I did not feel sick anymore. I checked out at 4am in the morning.
