1859 Cafe

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  1859 Cafe

The 1859 Cafe was believed to be haunted by the friendly ghost of a blonde woman in a long white dress. Actually built in 1859 as a home and a general store, the house was the setting for apparitions that appeared in the bathroom mirror or in photographs, and flickering lights. The business is no longer in operation, and reports say that the building was put up for sale.

  1. I had dinner there with my first wife in 1994.we were sitting in the fireplace room when I saw the figure of a young girl with short blonde hair and a long white sweater. The image I saw was a reflection in a sliding glass door that went out to the patio.I spoke to the bartender working that night and she told me that ghost was supposedly of a young girl it was raped and killed during the civil war.and that her age was supposedly between 12 and 14years old. I have never seen anything like that before or since.
