Wheatland Plantation, located off of Boyd’s Creek Highway in Sevierville, is an 1820 Federal Style home that was constructed around a large geode by a Freemason. The property has seen more than 70 murders and deaths within its walls, while the grounds bore witness to battles of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. An estimated 28 Cherokees, massacred in the Battle of Boyd’s Creek, are buried in a mass grave behind this antebellum home, which also houses the gravesites of more than 69 African Slaves and 2 Revolutionary War soldiers. The bloodstains of a father, slain by his son, can still be seen in the parlor, and draws the attention of many paranormal investigation teams. The ghosts of the Chandler family still walk the halls of this beautiful property, which is open for tours and occasional ghost hunts.

    • I’ve done a spirit box here before on an investigation. We received chanting, assuming natative american. Great place, been there three times

  1. I would like to do an investigation here im a local and would like to find how I would go about visiting here. I do personal investigations of my own me and my family. Please contact me for info to do an investigation thank you.

  2. I have been there on two occasions. Both times in the basement in the room off to the right of the stairs. I have felt the presence of children. The first time it was just a slight presence. The second time I walked into the room. I started crying uncontrollably and had a hard time breathing.

  3. The property is now closed but we drove by andI took some pictures. The pictures did not disappoint!! I’m not very good at editing, so they aren’t fake

  4. A group of Paranormal Investigators will be coming to Gatlinburg July 4th- July 11th. We all have YouTube Channels. We all have been investigating for years and would love to come investigate the beautiful Wheatland Plantation. Always respect for the spirits and the owners. Would love to come do a late night investigation with permission. How can I please get the information. Would greatly be appreciated. Please contact me at heart2heart101@mail.com Thank you so much in advance. My name is April Lett

  5. My wife and I went to visit this place last year. As we were walking, we met up with some curious tourists. They told us that if we are very quiet, we will be able to hear screams and gunfire. Curiosity got the best of us, so we went to a spot where they heard the sounds and we were able to make out the screams. We heard the voices of men screaming, some yelling,” Molly Pitcher,Molly Pitcher!” It was so clear and vividly real. We heard gunfire and even heard some slaves (who were killed and buried there) yelling,” I’ll give you two fiddy for dose chitlins.” I was blown away as how clear the voices were. We are definitely going back!

  6. I am starting to put together a paranormal investigation team, and we would be filming our trips. We would love if we could make a trip here. We are from Cleveland,TN.

  7. $2.50 for some chitlans, huh?
Awfully expensive for 1860 & especially for someone making slave wages…for real, for real…as in $nothing.oo And, whatever molly pitcher means. If y’all actually heard this, then somebody with low knowledge of 1860ish things & even lower integrity was playing a recording in the distance. I live just down the road, for years. Never heard anything but my mother & sister in laws big mouths & sis inlaw creatchture chuck she yoked with years ago. He does tell some stupid stuff, & calls cattle even when there are none in existence for many miles. Seekaff! He’ll yell out but I think it’s when he wants to feel like he’s making folks believe he’s a farmer or cowboy. So, may here that oneday. We’re trying to convince him to wear 3 masks IN his mouth. I may have to get a letter from the governor or, Santa, or satan to convince him. But, maybe not what am thinking…? I can draft one up & sign it someone else ya don’t know, or the roof fairy, he’ll comply or else pay the fence post fine. &29 per post owned, or same for any unowned. Extra &100 if he don’t smile & leave.

    • WTF!!! Did you go to school, because not one word of your rambling on makes no sense. I’m sure your family is behind all of it, if so they truly have no life. Its a known fact this home has had this reputation for years. But sure, we’ll go with your story. Get back on your meds.
