Van Wickle House

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Van Wickle House

The Van Wickle House was a wedding present for Evert and Cornelia Van Wickle, but tragically, they died on the same day the house was presented to them March 3, 1757. They are buried nearby on a hill, under some trees. The house is said to be haunted by Evert and Cornelia and possible other spirits. Witnesses have seen apparitions, mysterious puddles of water, flying doilies, and strange behavior by their family pets. They also have heard doors slam, the radio come on by itself, and unexplained noise in the kitchen… and a lot more.
