  1. I lived on 601 for 6 years, the crash site was literally my front yard (the crash area was 900ft wide). In 6 years I never saw anything like what has been reported here.

  2. I have personally been to this crash site a year after the event. I saw the rock. I also found airplane insulation and a brown sock on a thorn bush about 2 feet high. But nothing unusual experienced.

My husband’s brother, Jon Sheldon, was a sherrif for Loudon County Police and he lived in Round Hill. He was the first to arrived at the site when the plane crashed. It really affected him and i don’t know if he ever got over it.

I was 9 years old when it happened and visited the site with my Father and his best friend; we were collecting electrical connectors from the wreckage the following weekend after the crash. There were a few things that stayed with me, including the smell, that was a weird mixture of kerosene, dirt, vegetation, and what I found out later was oxidizing iron from all the blood. There hasn’t been a week that I haven’t thought about it, my whole life. I used to fly a lot, but as I gotten older it’s become more difficult.
