The Rangeley Inn and Tavern

This historic country inn was built some time around 1908, and is rumoured to have acquired a haunting or two. During the refurbishment of the old building, the current owners reported many instances of paranormal activity, such as ghostly footsteps, the smell of cigar smoke and doors being opened and closed by an invisible hand. Visiting psychics have determined that at least five ghosts haunt the property, including a man in period clothing known as John, a female spirit named Ella, a prankster spook known as Clarence and a pair of ghostly children in antiquated sailor’s uniforms who have appeared to visitors on the grand staircase.
