June Moore Ferrell’s book “The House” was written about this place. In the book she tells of a child, a product of incest between a former owner and her son, who died here and was buried in the back yard. Witnesses have seen the apparition of a woman on the balcony or in the garden. They have also heard the sound of heavy furniture crashing to the floor, and during construction of new balconies, boards were known to fall off the structure for no apparent reason.

  1. i was frequently invited to cocktail parties here in the late nineties, and went in hopes of seeing the ghosts, but never did see any. the author of the book and her husband were wonderful people however and the parties were great.

  2. Stayed here several times with friends. The top floor already felt eerie. Great house with some spooky history. The family and owners are true believers
