Ten Broeck Mansion

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Ten Broeck Mansion

The brownstone Ten Broeck Mansion, built in 1859, was first thought to be haunted in the mid-20th century when the children who lived there saw a strange, solemn soldier in 17th-century Dutch attire on the top floor. His connection to the mansion is unknown; some speculate that he was buried nearby before the house was built.

ALSO SAW GHOST OF LITTLE BOY IN THE BARN. MANY ALBANY POLICE OFFICERS BACK THEN WOULD STOP AND HAVE DINNER THERE THAT MARY MADE UP FOR THEM. THEY WOULD ALSO CHECK ON THEM ETC…LADY IN WHITE WAS SEEN BY MANY OF THEM INCLUDING MY DAD WHO WAS AN ALBANY POLICE OFFICER.
