At State University of New York’s Blake and Steuben halls, witnesses say apparitions can be seen and unexplained noises can be heard. Some speculate the buildings are haunted by a boy who fell to his death during construction of the buildings. And Monroe Hall is also believed to be haunted by a young boy killed during construction; sources say he is the ghost of a 6-year-old named Eric. It is unclear whether this is the same ghost that haunts Blake and Steuben halls.

  1. I am a former SUNY Geneseo student and lived in Blake Hall my junior year. There is a college age girl that haunts Blake Hall (the dorm area is now removed). One of my last nights I laid down to go to bed and I actually saw her when she crawled up onto my bed. She had dark hair pulled back in a pony tail. After discussing this with some of my friends that also lived in the building, one of the guys said he had also seen her by the vending machine earlier in the year. Rumor has it she jumped to her death off of the roof.
