The Ramsey County Courthouse is haunted, say witnesses who have seen apparitions in old-style clothes and heard laughter in empty rooms and high heels walking down empty halls. The apparition of a shoeshine man has been seen in the lobby, and another man has been seen hanging from a noose, believed to be a convict who was executed here long ago.

I’ve only been inside once, but the interior has a very oppressive and uneasy feel to it. It could be just the low ceilings and black marble, in addition to the GIANT white onyx Native statue in the central section. I didn’t see anything myself, but would fully believe just based on my uneasiness that it is haunted!
My Aunt used to work there, she told me she used to work there with a cleaning crew. Once she saw a spirit in an ols 1980 style suit and a brief case. He just disappeared.
