Seville Quarter

At the historic Seville Quarter, a ghost named Wesley walks, once a bartender at Rosie O’Grady’s. He is said to have died of hypothermia after hitting his head in the walk-in freezer. Other events attrubited to Wesley include poltergeist activity in the bar and the pinching of women’s rear ends. Other ghosts are said to walk the historic area as well. One well-known spirit is Sarah, who haunts the upstairs business offices. Sarah Wharton was the daughter of a businessman. When they were walking one night in the early 1800s, they fell victim to a pirate raid. Mr. Wharton was shot, and beautiful Sarah was accosted by the pirates. She fought, gouging out the eye of one, and the angry pirate beheaded her. Sarah’s ghost has been seen gliding down Romano and other streets, and sometimes tinkering with office copy machines and phones.
