  1. This store is really creepy near the back room. I used to stop here on my way through town after work. I never saw anything in the store, but I did see something in the furniture store right beside it (it is all one building so maybe the ghost wanders?) The little rectangular leg off of the main building in the photo is the furniture/rental store, Sava Lot is right beside it and Fred’s is on the other side of the SAL store. I was parked in the row right in front of the Save a Lot store and about 4 or 5 spaces from the rental store. I had finished my shopping and was getting into my car when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I looked up and into the display window of the furniture/rental store (the store was closed and empty of LIVING people but was well lit) and saw a man-shaped black figure moving around the floor. It was gliding around really fast, then it stopped (It noticed me watching it and realized that I could see it) then it started coming across the floor really fast in the direction of the windows. I freaked and got the Hell out of Pontotoc. I prayed all the way home. I did not know that the Save a Lot store was supposed to be haunted until I searched online after I saw the figure. I don’t know if it was a good or bad spirit, but I did NOT want to meet it! It scared me the most that it realized that I could see it and was coming toward me. I have always been sensitive but I had never seen anything before that evening. I don’t stop at this shopping center anymore.

    • So its now Fred’s no longer save a lot an I tried to set up a investigation there an got hung up on so going over there head at this point!

  2. I was employed at Fred’s right beside save a lot in 2006. We were closed and putting things back up. I had stopped to talk to another co worker and we heard something fall so we stopped talkin… Then all of a sudden we heard a baby doll laughing over and over we looked at each other and started to follow the laughter… We walked down to the toys and there sat a little baby doll in the middle of the floor (it wasn’t turned over it looked placed there & it was still laughing) We started walking over to it and suddenly it stopped!!! I picked the doll up and we started lookin at it and it was switched to off and you had to press its hand to make it laugh!!! I threw the doll down and we never went to the back alone after that!!! Everyone laughed at us that we were working with but, I told my grandmother and she informed me it was haunted!!!!
