Most of this pioneer-era cemetery was covered up by shopping malls and roadways, and folks say stores located on the site are cursed and often go out of business. One small plot of land remains, and rumor has it that it has been the site of many hauntings and eerie events.

  1. I don’t know about this cemetery being haunted or not but I can say the area surrounding is not cursed. I have lived in Naples for 14 years and all of the businesses that were there when I moved to Naples, are still there. I would hardly call that a curse!

  2. I’ve been in Naples since 1973 so I know a little about things that have gone on in that town. I remember this little cemetery well and on a few occasions have ‘seen’ things around there particularly on Halloween.

  3. Only after 50 plus years of visiting Naples, did I notice this mysterious cemetery, called Rosemary. I walked in and photographed it the next day. I went to the “well-known pharmacy” built on top of the original 20 acre graveyard and made a purchase. Employees I dealt with pretended they knew nothing about the Rosemary Cemetery right outside their front door. I later realized they simply shrugged off conversation about it, because they don’t want people to realize their store was built atop a graveyard. Well to make the story short, the store “bag” with 2 articles purchased, smelled of vomit and it was clean. I tossed it before making it to my car. I smelled the “articles purchased” and they didn’t wreak of that horrible smell. Driving about Naples, the same “vomit smell” re-entered my car and left. Later in the p.m., while in my bathroom, looking at a mirror, the stench hit my senses again, so I washed my face and nose. After a little perfume around the nose, the smell disappeared. If I come across that smell once more, I’m gonna have to find an exorcist or something. I wouldn’t go near that place within a 20 acre radius…

    • The cashier didn’t know anything because people don’t pay attention to the graveyard. No one knows about it’s history. No one cares it was built on a graveyard lol. It’s not that deep

  4. It’s not haunted and the same businesses have been there for 20+ years. There’s one restaurant that changes a lot near it but it wasn’t built on the cemetery property. Nothing mysterious happens there except for the person that puts toys on the children’s graves
