This inn was built in the 1850s as a private home, and was one of the first buildings in the area to have glass windows. It is rumored to have been part of the Underground Railroad; it is also rumored to have a ghost. An apparition of the wife of an owner is said to walk the halls, seen (and heard) by both guests and employees for many years.

I stayed in the Inn several times. The first time I did, the next day at lunch I asked the owner who was playing the piano in the middle of the night, she said that she didn’t want to discuss it and left. Her mother came back to the table and I asked her the same question, and she said I was the only one staying in the Inn that night, and was not surprised at the piano being played. The bedrooms at the Inn are on the second floor, and early one morning I heard a party at the end of the hall along with many footsteps walking past my room. The next morning asked about the party, and was again told that I was the only one staying at the Inn.
I was in orientation for eck Miller a trucking company in rockport. They put the drivers up there during orientation. My room was #3. I went to bed and woke up with a woman laying in bed with me. When I got up she was gone
We posted a video on our website with highlights we caught at Rockport Inn. We have held two Spider Survivor Events in this location and are looking forward to the next opportunity at the Inn.
I was working in the near by steel mill and the company I work for put me up there for the night. It had no wifi. Spooky.
The Rockport Inn is very haunted and it was part of the underground railroad. The new library was built and as they were digging the basement they dug into the tunnel.
My friend now owns the Inn which had burnt. They are restoring it and will be back in operation as well as the lovely spirits that still occupy the place. As I was walking through a very cold rush of air passed by me. And as this was happening I noticed a strange look on my friends face and I asked her what did you see? She replied I didn’t see anything she said I felt someone touch my face
So yes it is very haunted and yes in the basement you can see where the tunnel was. Many of the workers would not go down in there at least not by themselves.
I do the Spirit of Rockport Ghost Walk which I had created, this is the last Friday and Saturday of September. If you don’t believe, come on the ghost walk you will when we are done with the tours
