  1. I live in Pendleton and I have never heard about this “haunting” at the Art Center, but I’ve been there numerous times for my mom’s wedding shower, my moms’ friend’s baby shower, field trips, and 4-H meetings. Most of it was all down stairs and mostly when I had 4-H meetings there were just 3 kids and 2 leaders, but still I would never want to go down the long hallway downstairs alone and well I never liked to watch and scary shows or movies because they would freak me out. Anyways I would always get frightened when I went to go do something down there and I would try to make it really quick too, but then again, I might just be being paranoid as usual.

  2. the ghost is of a lady that worked theire. she killed herself by taking poison, because her boyfriend dumpted her. my mom told me this story because she worked their. the lady can also be seen on the bottem floor looking out the window. david ozment -pendleton , oregon.

As a child in the 70’s, I would spend time in the children’s section, which was in the downstairs area of what is now the Arts Center. The restrooms and lockers were also located downstairs. I remember having a feeling that there was another presence whenever I walked down the hall to use the restroom. Nothing scary. No fear of danger. I’ve always wondered if it were the spirit of the librarian looking over me.
