The historic mansion and its grounds are the haunting place for the ghosts of Robert Bickley and a female entity believed to be that of his girlfriend. The haunting is said to occur every December 24th. The woman appears on a black horse and holding a whip, and whips anyone who comes near. At the same time, Robert shows up and raps urgently on the mansion’s doors and windows.

  1. I used to work there and a lot of little things seemed to happen when you are alone. One time, I went into the mansion’s ballroom to set up for a party and I heard someone fall down the main stairs. When I went over to look, no one was there. Another time, a coworker was in the library by herself. She started hearing whispers, then felt someone breathing on her neck. There has also been workers saying that they can hear children running around upstairs.

  2. I worked there in a band..On my breaks I would go to the basement. There was something going on down there..you could just feel it!

My dad’s family were caretakers there when he was younger. He used to tell me stories of seeing the lady on horseback. Plus other sports that are on the property.
