Otero County Court House

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Otero County Court House

The office location previously served as a sheriff’s office and a cellblock before being converted to offices. There are reported hauntings in the corridor’s of the building, where the ghost of a young man dressed in an early 20th century suit has been seen. Doors slam and footsteps are heard at night, usually when the ghosts are disturbed.

  1. Was at the alamogordo court house delivering paperwork decided to take a bathroom break. Upon entering the bathroom my hair was pulled. I automatically said ” don’t pull my hair”. Has not happened again since. Still love to go to that old building. Also saw the video of the ghost picking up a plastic bowl and swing it around and eventually throwing it to the floor scaring security.
