Old Santa Fe Depot of Guthrie

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Old Santa Fe Depot of Guthrie

As of January 2013, this 1900s train depot is no longer in operation, and stands empty and for sale. The old Harvey House restaurant was here, and the Harvey family lived upstairs for years. Legend has it that Mrs. Harvey’s ghost still lingers here, and has been seen peeking out the upstairs windows.

  1. just an fyi, but there was no Harvey family, per se. It was called a Harvey House just like all the others along the Santa Fe railroad. The person who started the Harvey Houses was Fred Harvey and neither he nor his family ever lived in one. The first one was in Kansas and Harvey Houses were also located in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Missouri, Arkansas and a few other states.
