Old Dudley Road

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Old Dudley Road

Although the New Dudley Oxford Road is in use today, its ancestor, the Old Dudley Oxford Road, still exists for about a mile. Apparently unable to quit his favorite route, a spectral horseback rider in Colonial garb is said to patrol the remains of the old road.

    1. You all must know this is a hoax. Nothing haunting on Dudley road. Houses, horses, and a Catholic Retreat house. No convent no nunnery no sinking house. The “sinking house” is a storage shed with an a frame room. Look at it in the daylight and you can see the foundation of it plane as day.

    2. had an experience on Dudley road back in the 80’s where a approaching car all but disappeared had a witness with me who saw the same thing, stonewalls prevented the said car from turning off the road it all but vanished.

    3. If you think this place isn’t dark or haunted, just drive there and try to make it out the other side. Zoom in to my photos, in one tree you will see a demon like creature staring down. In another picture of the church you can see faces trapped in the arches. In the last picture, you can see an orb in the upper left and creepy red eyes looking down.

      • I went there and saw this “asylum” and my boy jumped over the fence and it was late at night also touched the Shed with “blood” on it, I also heard there’s a burnt Down church deep in the forest. The asylum had fed doors I was bouta pound that shit lmfao. It ain’t even that bad, I couldn’t even find the tree

    4. I just drove this road tonight….only think I saw was a lot of bumps in the road….like off roading on a paved road….no ghosts, nothing creepy or spooky…..

    5. we just took a drive down this road last night, there was one spot where we thought we herd horse hoofs trotting, i stopped my car and it stopped, was kinda spooky be we debunked it as possible leaves in pot holes. i then called the farm that is on the property and talked to a woman who lived there since 1970s she says that she has never seen herd or experienced anything the entire time she has lived there. i do not believe this place is haunted.

    6. I drove down this road my senior year of high school 2006. There was an SUV that appeared out of no where behind us halfway down the road started riding our ass unless it’s lights weren’t on the whole steeet. And then after almost rear ending us multiple times and us screaming repeatedly the car disappeared ! And there were no turn offs.

    7. The legend is total BS. Spend some time with Google and you can find the truth. The nuns have only been there since the 70s at the earliest. Before that it was a seminary built in the 30s or 40s. Just a bunch of ignorant anti-Catholic hate mongering.
