You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Mushroom Monday

Mushroom Monday is a shop that is believed to be haunted by the spirit of an elderly man. His apparition, seen by customers and staff alike, lingers near a small fountain. Interestingly, the friendly ghost appears from the shins up, as if his ankles and feet are resting on a surface beneath the floor.

  1. I saw the ghost about 20 years ago. I thought he was a character actor of an old miner for some show or something. I had just walked into the shop and saw him over in the corner and thought that I should go get my husband and son to see him. I started to go back out of the store and glanced away for a few seconds and he was gone. I thought that he really got out of the store fast. I looked all around outside and couldn’t see him. I thought that it was really odd. It wasn’t until years later that I heard about the ghost and then realized what I had seen.

  2. My Name Is Chris, And I happen to be the full time employee at Mushroom Monday.
Many Strange events seem to plague the store.
Stained glass can fall from the ceilings and never break.
All of my wind chimes can sway and chime gently without being disturbed.
merchandise falls right before customers from the wall as if to play a spooky lil joke on my customers.
The displays can shake and rattle as if there was seismic activity when in fact there is none.
bells ring out gently when no one is around.
the presence is by no means violent or malevolent. I believe it just wants its presence to be acknowledged.
I once accidently broke a mushroom that had been here since the early 70’s. immediately the large metal rack that all my Christmas merchandise on started to shake violently for a moment then ceased. ” I fixed the mushroom. “
