Ghosts reported at this 40-room Victorian castle are thought to be those of the Francolon family, and include a woman in a black dress who shows up as a reflection, a man, and a little girl. The place was used as a sanitarium for several years as well.

    1. I’ve been there twice in the last 3 years. Yes, it’s haunted, without a doubt, however nothing malevolent. Numerous EVPs can be captured. IMHO the most active area is in and near Father Francolon’s room and the rooms down the hall from the gift shop. A little girl’s voice interjected into a conversation I was having with the gift shop Manager and also a closet door was opened after I closed it in the doll room.

    2. My nephew (3 years old) and I were in the upstairs gift shop and doll/play area. My nephew starts heading back to the stairs and says “there’s a girl who wants to be my friend, she wants to play with me”. So we start going downstairs. He followed her to the right into two different rooms and says “she disappeared, where did she go”? We asked him about it later, he said the girl was beautiful and just a little bit older than he is and she wore a pink sweater.

    3. I used my ghost box app while we went on our tour. In front of the knights armor a voice said “knife”. Then when we walked in the upstairs to the sitting room it asked “how are you feeling”. In front of the fireplace it said “dangerous”. When we walked downstairs an spoke with the gift shop lady we were speaking about the little girl and it said “her”. When we walked into the garden we asked if there was a little girl. It said “watching you”. When we said goodbye it said “missing” and then “stop recording”.
