Main Street Armory

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Main Street Armory

Main Street Armory, built in 1905 by the U.S. Army for the training and processing soldiers, remained in use until 1990. It was vacant until the mid-2000s, when witnesses began to report apparitions, moving objects, and more strange happenings. Folks say the armory is haunted by a ghost boy. The site has been investigated by TV’s Ghost Hunters.

    1. My Great Aunt told me when I was kid that my Great Grandfather helped the Catholic Church move a cemetary from that site way back.

    2. Trapt came to the Main Street Armory last spring I believe it was. The concert was in the basement. Talk about a very uneasy feeling and catching things out of the corner of my eye and no not the fans.

    3. All I can say is I’m glad they shut down the armory after the tragedy that just happened a few days ago “smh” there was a concert (glorrilla) and instead of a happy and joyful night it turned out to be a nightmare! 3 people died and if I’m not mistaken 9 injured by being stampede smh and all because they thought they heard shots being fired and there was no shots at all crazy how everyone heard it even the security guards and there was no such thing I always said that place was a death trap I had went about 3 years ago and instead of me having a great time I was paranoid cause for some reason all I saw was one exit see when I go out to the club, concerts etc I always look for my nearest exit and so at the armory being as big as it is how in the hell there was only one exit sign the same way I had came in anyway make long story short I had went to the bathroom and as soon as I closed my stall it just opened right up even being locked listen here I forgot I had to pee and ran right out of there and believe it or not I left went inside my car and texted my friend and told here I was in my car that I wasn’t feeling to good lol and that I was going home I mean it was going to be over in like 30 minutes anyways so yeah never had I been back since but what just happened the other night was very sad I even saw alive video of that night a lady had went live crying and screaming out for help cause she was helping some people get up from the floor they was bloody and all and even seen the once’s that didn’t make it and that’s when I broke down crying now the owner of that horrible place didn’t wanna show face or even answer calls so they closed it down as it should of been closed down a long time ago cause it never fails everytime there’s a concert there is always something bad happens there meaning either someone getting shot or stabbed smh the crazy part is that I think the capacity there is like maybe 3500 people and mind you the tickets where sold out and they was so damn greedy that they was accepting cash at the door and there was more the 5000 people there it was so full that they opened the second floor balcony and they wasn’t suppose too cause there is asbestos on the second floor so they had shut that floor down my condolences go out to the family my they rest in paradise
