Rumor has it that the bell tower is haunted by the ghost of a nun who lost her life in the bell tower. While there are many variations of the story – accidental death, suicide over pregnancy, murdered through being locked away and starved – the particulars of the haunting remain the same; people claim to see her shadow pacing back and forth from within the bell tower.

5 yrs ago, the security company that i worked for patrolled. This site untill we had one of our guys post himself in the building and make his rounds all through the night and depart in the morning, one of those evenings that he was there he made his walk through the building checking doors and windows as usuall, come the morning time he was found dead. Inside loretto acadamy he apparently died of a heart attack, we were accustomed to writting reports of the evenings activities and unfortunately we never found one on his person or at the site… i knew this man from working with him and was shocked to hear that he passed away there at that place so now there is an extra ghost there at loretto acadamy roaming the corridors. Rest in peace mr. F at least he is close to the church there
