  1. Your ghost was my aunt. She lived there, in a little room downstairs off the kitchen. She was actually mostly their cook & the only hired person living on the premises so it must be her. She lived there for many years while Edwin (Jr) Janss’s 3 children grew up….this was in the 50’s-60’s

  2. Yes, indeed, she was our “maid and cook” though I never really thought of her as such. She was to the Janss children, more accurately, our sense of warmth, stability and unconditional love. Her name was (is) Yutta Kann. She was originally from Iowa and her DNA was Danish. Yutta was born in February of 1908 and passed on in February, 1982 at her age of 73. It’s amazing to me that she’s now be 111 years old (as of this writing, November, 2019.) She came into our household before I did, in 1950, and continued to work for my family for years after we left our old home in 1965, she having moved off of the Ranch with my mother and siblings when it was time to go.
