Hotel Blanche

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Hotel Blanche

Gangster Al Capone was among the guests to stay at this one-time luxury hotel. These days, it is inhabited by businesses on the ground floor and office space on the second, but the third floor remains empty–except for the hotel’s haunts. Witnesses here have described disembodied footsteps and voices, the sounds of kids playing, and doors that open and close by themselves. Reports say the hotel may be on the verge of a restoration.

  1. Hello my name is Teri I am lead investigator/founder of the Southern Charm Paranormal Investigations.I am wondering if it would be possible for my team to do an investigation in your hotel. Here is our web site please feel free to browse it http://www.theparanormalhunter.com You can contact me via person email(moocow1107@yahoo.com) or via group email

    • have been told by my co-worker her and her team tried to investigate and the owners denied it they said they would rather not know and dont and dont want anyone there also they have completely closed off the floor

  2. Used to sneak in there at night with my friends when we were younger and have always had weird experiences. One night we were standing in the hall next to the balcony and a black figure flew through one room to the next then heard a loud banging noise. We were all terrified. At the time they had a restaurant on the 1st floor and was told by the lady that worked the counter that there’s a little girl the runs around the halls and that she had hung her self from the balcony around the time of Al Capone. I don’t believe in ghosts but I will say there most definitely is something not right about that place

    • It’s so crazy that I came across this comment, with the remodeling that they’re doing to the Blanche I was looking around to see what people had to say about it being “haunted.”
My mom who is a huge Christian and does not believe in ghost visited the Blanche years ago, she said she was looking at the details of the stair case when she sall a little kid looking down at her at the top of the stairs, thinking that a kid was really up there she went to an employee and they replied “Nobody is allowed to be up there”
      That makes since now..

  3. Johnny Cash stayed here too, as well as the fact this place houses the oldest elevator in Florida, While in there we caught a EVP on the third floor asking us to keep going as we were talking, as well as a strange photo that almost looks like a mist in the shape of a child.

  4. I work there on the restoration. Havent seen or heard anything but the third floor is always cooler than the other floors. Some other employees said they have heard the little girl but idk
