Holmesburg Prison

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Holmesburg Prison

Prisoners here were described as lab rats for unusual experiments that could prove fatal. Of the dead, some people have reported seeing figures resembling former prisoners. Sounds of panic, doors slamming, and riots (as if history is repeating itself) have been heard. Electronic devices malfunction so be sure to come prepared if you plan to investigate.

There is nothing to see here but the outside of a behemoth prison. I’m not even sure how anyone would know it’s haunted, since the public have never been permitted inside. There are no tours. I grew up one block away and can tell you it is still in partial use for various purposes. If you’re curious about HP then just take a tour of Eastern State in town. They are virtually the same prison but you actually get to see inside. Lots of stories there and well worth the $.
