Historic Richmond Town, a living history village and museum complex, is rumored to have some haunted buildings. Some say the Guyon Lake Tysen House, built in 1740, is haunted by Elizabeth Lake Tysen. Some of her many children are suspected to linger here as well, playing with the house museum’s toys. In this and many of the other historic houses, witnesses have reported footsteps, unexplained sounds, objects that go missing, cold spots and disembodied voices.

I went there two months ago and did feel some rooms cold and felt like someone was looking at me especially in the kids playing room. Me and my son ran out downstairs cuz it was freezing up there he didn’t even play with the toys there, he just looked at them and felt awkward and ran.
I live in colonial square next to Richmond town and I have been told there were ghosts in my house. They had some one come in a expert in that field and they said yes. Well I’m here 8 years never felt any thing till recently I got a puppy and twice its like something is chasing him or he’s seeing something. He looks up at the ceiling and left to right quickly like something is flying above him. My neighbor also said her dog stares and barks at certain areas and her husband said he saw something. I wonder what was on these grounds back in the day. This development is only 20 something years old. Maybe some one out there can help me
Seriously Karen this area was of great activity during the revolutionary war and if you wandered over to Richmondtown you might learn some history. I find it shocking you can be there for eight years and not know any of this.
