High Hill Church

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  High Hill Church

This church and cemetery is believed to be haunted by locals. Locals report seeing people in the cemetery late at night. Some locals have witnessed crowds of people which resembled a revival late at night at the church even though the church has been abandoned for years. One local reports running into a man while hunting near the area who reported being the pastor of High Hill Church. The man found out later the church had been abandoned for years and that the pastor who ran services died in the late 70’s and enjoyed hunting in the area. Another person reported seeing a bride and groom walk out of the church late at night.

  1. I pass this church sometimes going to some WMA hunting land near there. it looked really old and i see the graves are still kept up pretty good so I decided to stop and look at the dates on the head stones. some of them are as old as 1897. whats strange is there are several unmarked graves and theres a small section of a bunch of infant graves that were all within a month of each other. some named some with no name. a couple of them have just triangle bare stone headstones. like a creek rock. we got a really negative feeling from the place and so i searched it online and well… now i know its haunted. i started to go inside, some windows were broken and the doors were open. another thing to notice is with all the windows in that place it seems like no light inside. it should have more lumination just from the ambient outside light shining in but its pitch black. kinda wanted to go in but i just got a bad feeling so i didn’t.

  2. I recently went to high hill church (feb. 21st, 2016) and there was bloody hand prints on the wall with baby powder all over the floor. There was some new looking graves as well. I have a picture of me standing at the podium where a dead rose lays and there is a shadow casting over me

  3. I’ve been to High hill many times none without instances. I brought a ghost box a few times and asked the name of the demons inside the church and twice it responded legion. It also called me and my friend by name. In all seriousness I would strongly discourage anyone going unless you are prayed up.

  4. me and my friends went here late at night and it was very scary then we stayed longer and we started to hear footsteps behind us so we ran then the footsteps stopped then me and my friends saw someone standing right next to the church we got scared but it vanished but we stayed way longer to catch more stuff and then we saw a group of people talking but we could not see them we where scared then the church door opened but nothing was there maybe the bride and groom walked out idk what happened

  5. I went there this week. Walked into the church with my friend and saw a shadow descend from the corner and make it’s way to the podium. We both heard someone say slaughter the lamb. We both ran out and have not been back.
