A nun was said to have been bricked up alive here. Most activity stems from Room 2; usually the faucets will turn on and off by themselves.

  1. We stayed here last night after our nieces wedding. Lovely hotel. We were in room 1 which is lovely with fabulous views across the golf course!! This morning whilst my Hubbie was in the shower I was laid in bed and it shuddered for about 30 seconds. This happened twice!! It’s a big solid four poster bed so can’t give any explanation as to why or how this could have happened!

Me and my friend stayed in a room right at the back along a corridor right out the way we heard a couple shouting and arguing next door when asking the staff they said theres no one in there and they never open the next room. We heard a whistle in our room taps turning themselves on n knocking on our door numerous times through the night followed by sound of someone running down the corridor there was never anyone there. My friend was very freaked out n although radiators were blasting hot room was ice cold . I have attached a picture of the room we stayed in.

Stumbled across this site looking for haunted properties for halloween quiz questions. My husband and I stayed there many years ago in room 2. It was the night before Christmas eve and on the stroke of midnight I heard a very loud crash (sounded like crockery) and then our bed lifted and shook as if it were an earth quake. About 30 seconds after, another shock wave. Whilst I buried my head under the duvet, my husband said that the red led light on the TV kept fading and returning as if something was moving around in front of the TV. The following morning, we went down to breakfast and on returning to the room, both taps in the bathroom basin were on full flow together with a cupboard door open (which we did not use at all). When we checked out, we were asked if everything was ok. We said ‘no’ and the receptionist reported that other people had complained about the room too. Next time we stayed, we asked for a room in the newer part of the hotel and the receptionist reported that they did not hire out room 2 any more because of the complaints. Perhaps they do for ghost hunters! At least we lived to tell the tale!
