    1. I lived just down the road from this. There are other hot spots right down the road from here. I think it has something to do with the high content of Limestone in the area or at least that’s the way it was explained to me.

    2. I have been going here for about 35years. I always take new friends or out-of-towners for a quick tour of Gravity Hill. They are ALWAYS amazed and sometimes disturbed. I never thought of it as being haunted, just unexplainable. If you pull down to the stop sign and put your car in neutral, turn OFF the engine, take your foot off of the brake, then you will instantly start rolling BACKWARDS UP THE HILL! It is so strange, but “haunted??? I don’t think so.

      • I don’t know, I feel really queezy and sick, it’s really weird. Every time I go I’ll start crying, and then I’m completely fine when we leave. I hate it there, I don’t know if it’s haunted or not. But I feel awful when I’m there.

    3. I have been going to Gravity Hill since the 70’s. It’s not haunted, that is a ridiculous thing to say. We use to go up Gravity Hill most every time we were in the area as kids and even now. I was there about a year ago and went up the hill backwards, it works every time. Nothing scary about it or haunted whatsoever. It’s a family adventure more than anything and shouldn’t be made into something scary and shame on you for trying to make it that way and shame on any parents who tries to scare their kids.

I have taken friends and family there for years and would love to know if it were haunted or not. I took a friend and her husband one night up there and she was screaming at me and begging me to start the car back up and drive away. Needless to say she did not go with me at night for a long time after that.

    5. I have been here several times. It was explained to me that the way the road come up to the main highway is an optical illusion. When you put your car in neutral, it feels as though you are being pulled up the small hill you just came over. In fact, your car is just rolling back down hill, because the entire road is going uphill at an angle.

As far as it being haunted, when I was younger people would always say that a small boy was killed there in a car wreck and he is trying to pull you away from the intersection.
