  1. My grandparents have owned this Inn for many years I’ve worked there for them and it is truly haunted. I have seen things moved after cleaning rooms placing objects in one spot and go back in room and it has been moved also after making beds they would be undone when re-entering room. U can hear whispers of people talking and feel someone behind u. I’ve also seen someone standing in windows looking out while out on grounds with no one in building. The spookiest is definitely the attic not a nice place to be when u r in there and door closes and u can’t get it back open for a moment or two. I’ve also seen apperisitions going from room to room in old dinning rooms.

    • Hi, Angel. My uncle and aunt owned the inn when it was a shell of a place. They fixed it up and built the back area where the kitchen is. My family used to visit a lot in the 60’s. I just retired from the military and was internet surfing when I came upon your message. The in was a great place to visit when I was a kid. The tunnels and the graves where interesting. Buttons and Bows (their dogs) were buried in the back. The inn was used for helping children with handicaps at one time. I believe it was in the news back in the late 60’s early 70’s.

  2. for about three years I had mowed the lawn of the General Stanton inn including the General and his family’s grave sites. While mowing the lawn in front of the inn I had the feeling that I was being watched I happened to look up into one of the second floors windows and one of the shades had been moved out of the way and appeared to be an older gentleman standing in the window lookin out with out any kind of emotion I looked away for a brief second and when I looked back he was no longer there

  3. I was what they used to call a Telephone Man back in the day. I worked at the Inn several times throughout the 31 years od my career.Once I was changing a floorjack in one of the bar rooms. I saw a man in work clothes and a hat staring off with a faraway gaze. He took off his hat, wiped his face with his arm and looked like he was viewing a distant location but the wall was 20 feet away. I didn’t think too much of it actually. I screwed the cap on the jack and when I looked up he was gone. Later I happened to ask the property manager if the workman was still there and she said ” there’s nobody else here” I told her about the man and she said “As long as I stay in this new office I’m OK but I’ve have had some strange occurances when I go into the Inn proper, especially the bar. This happened around 2003
