Fork in the Road

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Fork in the Road

Once called Inn the Olden Days, the Fork in the Road restaurant used to be a tavern in its early days. This may explain the ghostly footsteps and the sound of pool balls hitting each other and rolling across the floor. Vaporous clouds and voices also have been seen and heard in the storage areas.

  1. Today was the third fire at this location, was it an accident or did the ghost do it? My daughter used to live in one of the apartments above the restaurant. She has told me things that she heard, unexplaned noises. Yes, it is haunted!

    • My sister is the one who died in that fire in march 2015….she had trouble once with her locks and had them changed….after changing them she claimed one day the lock locked itself. And she couldnt open it….she believed this place may have been haunted. But wasnt for sure. She thought it may have been the doings of an ex that she was in fear of….we still dont know what really happened that night. Her neighbors said there was a man outside before the fire dept arrived…….she also said they didnt go in the apartment until the fire was put out.

  2. SO sad to hear of the fire, I enjoyed many lunches and a few dinners there. The place absolutely has a feeling to it. Did anyone die in the recent fire? I hope I am not being morbid to ask this. I plan to visit again as soon as it is open!

  3. Yes, a tenant who lived in the apartment above the restaurant, sadly was killed in the fire. And yes, the restaurant is open again. It seems to have high haunted potential.

  4. We are currently eating lunch here, and the empty chair beside me began to rock vigorously side to side on its uneven legs. No one was bumping the chair with their legs. Scared us pretty good.

  5. At home, I was upset and angry at God. I told him to prove he really cared. That day a friend picked me up for lunch at the Fork in the Road. We walked in and waited a minute and the owner said just a moment and picked up 3 menus. Follow me he said. I told him there were only two of us. He said he saw three. Honestly we were the only ones who walked in. He led us to a table for 4, we sat down and he took a menu away. The waitress brought 3 glasses of water. I couldn’t believe it. I said there were only two of us. She said no there were 3 of you – I’m quite sure of that. My friend said ‘oh there must be an angel with us’. I was stunned since I never told her what was going on. She took my hand and asked what happened and I told her. The waitress heard and put 3 glasses on the table – just in case she said! I told her if the water in that glass started to go down, I’m out of here. My relationship with God improved mightily that day.
